Personalizing your new Centex home has now become even easier with our new onsite Design Centers. The new Design Centers, located at your community sales center, allow you to browse through your option selections before you meet with one of our knowledgeable Design Consultants. 

Your personal Design Consultant will contact you shortly after the purchase of your new home to schedule an appointment. During your appointment, your Design Consultant will assist you in your selections by explaining the standard features and optional upgrades available in your community. We understand the importance of these decisions in contributing to your happiness with your new home. Our Design Consultants are dedicated to help inform and educate you with product knowledge so you can make the best decisions. Centex offers a variety of choices in cabinetry, ceramic tile, carpet, countertops and more from some of the top names in the industry including Corian, Whirlpool, Moen, Shaw and many others!

I signed my sales contract. What is the next step?
Your design consultant for your community will contact you within a few days to schedule your design appointment.

When do I need to complete my color selections by?
Color selections need to be finalized and signed off within 30 days of the date of your sales contract. This is mentioned in your sales contract, Addendum No. 1, under Color and Option Selections.

Why do I need to select design options so soon?
In an effort to meet your closing date, your selections are ordered with our vendors and manufacturers shortly after you sign off on them. This process ensures that your items are available for installation as construction progresses.

How long should I expect my design appointment to take?
We have quite a number of available options to present to you. Typically, selections will take approximately 3-4 hours. For this reason, we ask that if you have small children, babysitter arrangements are made so that you and your Designer are able to fully concentrate in your appointment.

What will I be selecting at my design appointment?
We have several options available to personalize your home which include but are not limited to cabinets, countertops, flooring, faucets, lighting fixtures, electrical options, window treatments, interior paint and stair rails.

How can I prepare for my design appointment?
We would like to assist you in accomplishing the desired look and feel that you envision in your new Centex home.  Any magazine pictures, fabric swatches, pillows, bedding, etc. that appeal to you can be brought to your design appointment so that you and your Designer can work together in creating your own personal style.

Will I be expected to give Centex Homes a deposit?
A 25% deposit is due at the time color selections are finalized and signed off. We accept personal checks made payable to Centex Homes from the contracted buyer only. Kindly be advised that we do not accept third party or business checks. This is mentioned in your sales contract, Addendum No. 1, under Late Changes.

I live out of town. How do I make my selections?
Because of the growing interest in the Florida real estate market, many of our homebuyers live out of town. There are a few ways we can help to accommodate you. We encourage you to make travel arrangements to personally select your options, if possible. Please be sure to check availability with your Designer prior to scheduling travel arrangements. If you are unable to make travel arrangements, we can accept a notarized power of attorney letter for family, friends or your realtor to make selections for you. If neither of these options will work, we can offer the assistance of our knowledgeable Designers to guide you in your selections during a phone appointment.
